💛 Our Mission and Services
Vermilion Council on Aging has been dedicated to enriching the lives of older adults throughout Vermilion Parish. We provide essential programs and compassionate support to help seniors maintain independence, dignity, and a high quality of life.
Our services include:
- Home-delivered meals for those unable to cook or travel.
- Congregate meals and activities at our senior centers, fostering social connection and wellness.
- In-home assistance for daily living needs.
- Wellness checks, advocacy, and support services to ensure safety and dignity.
These programs help seniors remain active, healthy, and engaged, allowing them to age gracefully in the community they love.
🚐 Our Capital Campaign: Building a Transportation Program
As we celebrate our golden anniversary, we’re also looking toward the future. Our Capital Campaign is focused on establishing a Transportation Service for the elderly and disabled citizens of Vermilion Parish.
Many seniors in our community lack access to reliable transportation—leaving them isolated, unable to attend medical appointments, pick up prescriptions, or participate in center activities. By developing this much-needed service, we can ensure every senior has the opportunity to remain connected, cared for, and independent.
