Quality of life matters—especially for the senior citizens who built our communities and now need a little extra support to continue living safely, comfortably, and with dignity.
At Vermilion Council on Aging, our Homemaker and Respite Care Programs provide essential in-home assistance for seniors who need help with daily tasks, while also giving much-needed relief to caregivers. For our homebound seniors, a freshly prepared, nutritious meal delivered five days a week is more than just food—it’s a lifeline, a wellness check, and a reminder that they are not forgotten.
We also offer congregate meals and activities at our senior centers, where friendships are formed, laughter is shared, and isolation is replaced with connection. These social gatherings play a vital role in emotional and mental well-being.
And there is more hope on the horizon—this September, we will receive a brand-new bus to launch our transportation initiative. This will be life-changing for seniors and people with disabilities, providing safe, reliable access to medical appointments, grocery stores, and community activities.
But we cannot do this alone.
We are asking for your support to help us continue and expand these critical services. Your donation directly impacts the lives of seniors right here in our community—helping them remain independent, nourished, and connected.
Please consider giving today and being a part of something truly meaningful.
Together, we can ensure our seniors live not just longer—but better.
